Private parts

One important thing I have learned about writing is to tell the truth.

But because this blog is public, I can’t always tell the truth. There are times I have avoided writing the post that I really needed to write because it might hurt someone’s feelings or violate their privacy if I am honest about my day.

I can’t live with that.

So, starting today, if what I need to write about is not appropriate for publication to the world at large, I’m going to make the post private.

I’ll still write every day. But WordPress offers me the option of selecting “Private” as a level of visibility. That is, no one but me can read it. (There’s also “Password protected,” but I don’t have any use for that right now.)

Sorry, readers. This blog is for me to write every day. And today, it’s not for anyone else to read.

  1. You know I’ve also chosen that option! And I’ve also gone back and made some posts private after thinking things through more carefully 🙂 Blessings to you, my friend.

  2. Respect your privacy and understand what you are saying but why not just write in a private journal?

    1. Well, I want to maintain the continuity of the project, which is having a blog post and a penny for each day of my life. I don’t want to censor myself and write a post about something innocuous instead of the thing that really MATTERED about the day.
