Learn how to create glass sculpture in an intensive, four-part workshop at Fused Light Studio next month. You will complete a beautiful cast glass project, and gain the skills and knowledge you need to continue with casting on your own.<\/p>\n
Open-faced casting is the easiest glass casting to learn. An open-faced mold is used for casting a flat-backed shape or design.<\/p>\n

The workshop schedule is:
\nSunday April 18, 2 pm: Overview and design principles (remote)
\nSaturday April 24, 1-5 pm: Create the form, make and clean the mold
\nSunday April 25, 2-4 pm: Fill and fire the mold, firing schedule
\nSaturday May 1, 1-5 pm: Divest and coldwork the casting<\/p>\n
The workshop fee is $350, payable once your registration is confirmed. A separate materials fee will depend on the amount and color of glass that you cast. Estimated materials cost is $50-$90 per person.<\/p>\n
